The Top Movie Review 2006

2006 was a big year for movies. I'm not sure who will win the Oscar for best picture, but here are my personal favorites of this year.

5) Pursuit of Happyness
I'm usually not a big fan of "inspirational" film genre. This, however, seemed more real and honest than most. And Will Smith and his son Jaden, were excellent. Will Smith plays Chris Gardner incredibly intelligent medical supply vendors who fell on hard times in his career and marriage. In an attempt to live up to their full potential Chris tries to get a job at an exclusive brokerage firm, even if that means he and his son must live in ulici.Pravi father / son chemistry between Will and Jaden added a ton of realism in film. While the uphill struggle of inspiration I was left wondering how someone as intelligent as Chris Gardner was forced into such a bad condition. 4) Thank you for smoking
Aaron Eckhart plays Nick Naylor, a spokesman for the tobacco industry. Naylor is a very good and his incredibly hard work. 3) V for Vendetta
"V for Vendetta" is a story about evey Hammond, which probably plays a role in bringing down the oppressive government after the meeting masked revolutionary terrorist who calls V. Based on Allan Moore graphic novel this film offers an incredibly complex and visually stunning portrait of one man's quest to bring the power people. While the action scenes are amazing they do not feel forced or cheesy as the story is the main focus of the film. Natalie Portman gives her best performance to date, and the chemistry between her character and V is amazing. There are so many nuances of this great movie that I had to go see it several times to understand it all.

2) Borat
Anyone who has seen the Ali G show knows how incredible actor Sacha Baron Cohen. His ability to stay in character in a ridiculous situation leaves the audience gasping for air. The big screen adaptation of his Borat character may be the funniest movie ever napravljen.Film follows Borat as a journey in America filming a documentary for Kazakh TV. I will not ruin any surprises, like that's what makes the film so funny, but when watching Prepare to laugh harder than ever before. I literally never seen an audience laugh so hard at the movies. He got to the point where you had trouble hearing film, because the crowd was laughing so loud. If laughter really the best medicine this movie will definitely cure what ails you.

1) The Departed
I have not heard one person who saw this movie not to say that the best film they have seen in years. This movie has it all, incredible acting, great direction, and a story that keeps you on the edge of their seats.
